We were in a hurry today and didn't eat at the restaurant. Instead, we ordered pizza to take home. This pizza is our best since coming to the United States.

Ge Angelo's is a small, American run italian place in north Ames. I love Italian food and I was disappointed with how bad it is around Iowa. Ge Angelo's food isn't anything super special, but it's always tasty and cooked well. They really try to provide a variety of good Italian dishes. It's not gourmet Italian, but it's the best place I've found for the money you spend. This includes places like Tosca (horrible) or even Centro in Des moines. Go here if you want to spend 18 dollars to get a generous portion of a decent Italian dish you enjoy.

It doesn't look like much and the location is kinda weird, but the food speaks for itself. It's reasonably priced and the portions are large. When I ordered the Geno's spaghetti, our server warned me that it was spicy. It definitely has spice but I really enjoyed it and didn't find it to be overpowering (the typical Iowan palette may not agree with me which is probably why they warn people...)

Food was excellent, but the adhesive on the napkin rolls—well, you don’t find quality like this in other restaurants. I’d give them 10 stars if I could. Off. The. Chain.

My fiance and I have been here several times and Everytime they knock it out of the park for us. We don't live in Ames so sometimes when thinking of ideas of where to go it slips our mind because it's out of the way a little bit but so worth the extra little bit of travel through town. The staff is always very kind and prompt to get you whatever you need. The portions are massive and very reasonably priced for the quality of the food. If we are chosing to eat Italian food in Ames, you can count on us choosing Ge-Angelos. blackened chicken Alfredo is always a good choice and the pizza is a great options as well from our experience. Thank you!

Ge-Angelo’s in Ames never disappoints! This time (and most times), I had the Honey Mustard Chicken with Parmesan Risotto, and it was absolutely incredible. The chicken was perfectly cooked with just the right balance of sweet and tangy honey mustard, and the creamy parmesan risotto was rich and comforting. The meal started with a fresh salad, topped with their garlic parmesan dressing—so flavorful and the perfect complement to the main dish. And of course, I had to finish with their homemade cannoli. The contrast of a dark cherry at one end and toasted pistachios at the other makes every bite an experience. If you're looking for delicious Italian food in Ames, Ge-Angelo’s is a must-visit. Always a fantastic meal with great service! #AmesIowaEats #GeAngelos #ItalianPerfection #FoodWorthSavoring
